Sports sponsorship

The commitment of KÉSZ to sports shows up in several fields. Among the sports definitely peculiar to the Hungarians it is coach-driving that we are closely bound to. We have been supporting Zoltán Nyúl, world champion coach driver of Hírös Lovas Klub in preparation and competition for several years. He won one silver and two gold medals in team and two individual bronze medals in the coach-and-pair championship - last time in 2007 in Poland in the obstacle coach championship he was 2nd in a perfect form, thus basically contributed to the silver medal of the Hungarian National Team. We also sponsored him as double Hungarian champion and Hungarian Coach-driving champion; he was elected as the Sportsman of the Year in horse sports in 2003, not to mention that he was honoured to be the Freeman of Ballószög Settlement.

The KÉSZ Football Academy Foundation established in the autumn of 2007 set the aim of the development of the new football generation and the education on healthy lifestyle in Szeged City and the surrounding settlements. The foundation of public utility concluded an agreement with the municipalities of Szeged and settlements from its micro region to start football classes from the autumn of 2008 in several primary and secondary schools. The students learning here have football lessons within their lessons schedule in 4-5 lessons weekly, by the supervision of specialised gym teachers. The primary school championship organised by the foundation is an appropriate ground for selection as well. In these competitions it turns out which children might continue their career in higher-class clubs. The foundation is not forming its own team or club, does not enter for any competition. What is the most important is that via the Academy KÉSZ can help schools’ training programs and the talent-selection activities of football clubs. Homepage: www.keszakademia.hu.

In the field of sports we are in the top ten to support young geniuses, launching their career. We supported Ágnes Szávay tennis player from 2005 until the end of 2007 in her sports career. The talented young player was successful in junior category in major international competitions (won the French Roland Garros both in single and pair, was a finalist in Wimbledon in single, also won in pair, won the junior European Championship in Switzerland), and had the opportunity to prove her outstanding talent among the adults as well. At the US Open she reached the quarterfinal without losing even a set as the only not ranked player, in Palermo and Beijing won a WTA-tournament, thus totally deserved to get in the best 20 of the world rank table.

Swimming has always been a success sport in Hungarian sports life. Dániel Gyurta having won the Olympic silver in Athens got support from us between 2004 and 2006 with the hope of successful participation at world competitions. According to the contract concluded with the Hungarian Swimming Association our company helped to form and prepare a competitive swimming team – worthy for the traditions of the Hungarian swimming sport – for the Short Course European Championship in 2005, the European Championship in 2006, the Junior European Championship in 2006 as well as the Short Course European Championship in 2006.

We have been supporting our colleague Attila Vér, who has reached great success in drag bike competitions. During 2006-2007m Attila took part in 16 competitions in the Hungarian drag bike championship, and was among the best three 14 times. In 2006 he won the gold, and in 2007 the silver medal in the Hungarian races.

The 8-meter boat Montana of the Szegedi Vitorlás Egylet (Szeged Sailboat Association) is competing under the colours of KÉSZ in sailing competitions on the Lake Balaton and the Adriatic Sea. Within the framework of the sponsorship contract concluded in 2007, the team started the competitions under the name KÉSZ.
