KÉSZ Ukraine - History

We established KÉSZ Group's first Ukrainian subsidiary in 2002 in Zaporozhye by the name KÉSZ Ukraine, and then we moved our site to Kalush. We were among the first foreign companies in the Ukrainian market to purchase a factory lot: we bought a 24,000 square metre reinforced concrete prefabricating plant in Kalush in 2002. We joined forces with two other Hungarian companies (ASA Kft., Ferrobeton Zrt.) and established 3 Beton Kft to operate the factory and, still in the year of our purchase, we renovated and modernised the factory.

During the first few years of its operation, our Kalush company was primarily engaged in constructing structures for Metro stores, e.g. In Kiev, Charkov, and Odessa. In 2003, we purchased and renovated Hotel Origo in Alusta on the Crimean Peninsula, and through this, KÉSZ Ukraine became involved in the tourist industry in the Black Sea resort area.

In 2005, KÉSZ Group established its second Ukrainian subsidiary, KÉSZ UA whose primary goal was to gain ground in the capital and the eastern Ukrainian region. Our new company developed rapidly and soon won significant projects in the construction market. We began by constructing an 8,300 square metre WestLine warehouse hall in the Ukrainian capital, and then we submitted successful bids for the implementation of the plants of Jabil, Flextronics, Kronospan, and ICT. In order to carry out the installation jobs of these projects, we established a separate installation company in 2006 by the name of KÉSZ Montage.
